II. ORGANIZATIONAL CONTEXT
The Western Hemisphere Program, funded by the Office of Population, Refugees, and Migration (PRM) of the United States Department of Population, seeks to improve the capacities of States in Central America, Mexico, and the Caribbean for governance of migrations in a humane and sustainable way. The Program has four pillars: migration governance, regional dialogue and partnerships, management of migration crises, and communication for development.
Under the general supervision of the Regional Program Coordinator and the direct supervision of the WHP Regional Communication Officer, the Communication Assistant intern will be responsible for executing the following tasks:

- Support the development of content for the digital component of the Communication for Development (C4D) 2021 campaigns for both digital social networks, websites, among others.
- Collaborate with actions for the creation, conceptualization, distribution and launch of the campaigns, and of the virtual community “Somos Colmena”.
- Create and update content, in Spanish and English, of the website of the Regional Program on Migration and Somos Colmena.
- Assist in the development of communication materials, in various formats, aligned to the needs of the project in its different pillars.
- Translate documents from English to Spanish and viceversa.
IV. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Education
Student or graduate of communication with a specialization on advertising, public relations or others.
experience
Excellent command of the English and Spanish language.
Experience in creative writing and content generation.
Affinity to work with social issues and human rights.
